We now return you to our regularly scheduled alphabet houses. Today's thatched-roof, storybook cottage is typical of houses found in the Cotswold hills of west-central England. Elements of these homes have been replicated in other areas of the world and is now referred to as the Cotswold Cottage style.
you could make a kickass series of flash cards when you are done with this. etsy? :)

Gorgeous! I didn't know that ... do you get houses like that in America?
ReplyDeleteI am planning to make a wall set of them when I am done. It has also made me want to do another set of letters based solely on my favorite things. I get happy just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteSarah, we have houses in the US that are cottage-derivative, but I highly doubt anyone could get a home insurance plan with a thatched roof, let alone find a craftsperson who could do it. They usually have slate or shingle. And they are less free-form and have less character.
